Further to our pre-Christmas chat I write to attach a scanned copy of a document I put together on behalf of a project I convened in 1995; called the Hayle Harbour Trust. This sets out the then plans of the Trust for which we had then secured the Memorandums and Articles of Association in readiness for the purchase of the Harbour after the folding of Aldersgate (a former de Savery development company).
If, as Cllr Bennett suggests, the ING proposals are floundering, going in the wrong direction or do not provide sufficient benefit to the local community in terms of jobs, etc, then his initiative is clearly something I would support.
I know that Julia Goldsworthy takes the same view and is concerned that the local community should not be held to ransom in respect of future plans for the harbour.
