Our Plans

If the harbour could be brought into the ownership of a charitable trust there are a huge number of projects, beneficial to the people of Hayle, that could be implemented. Move your mouse over the image below (near the symbol) to see more information.

Some examples are:

  • Job creation through development of marine facilities and the Marine Renewables park
  • Repair of essential infrastructure, especially the badly damaged harbour walls
  • Creation of new groin and deep navigation channel, facilitating improved use of the harbour for Wave Hub support and ferry service
  • Improved professional fishing facilities: refuelling capability, fishermen's dock, boat repair and chandler
  • Improved cycle track and footpath
  • Flood control dam with power generation and sluicing capabilities
  • Fire station
  • Landmark buildings
  • Pioneerium
  • Watersports building
  • Ferry terminal
  • Cafe/Restaurant and patio
We recognise that these developments will not happen over night. However, given the support of the people of Hayle and our local government, we can achieve all of this, and more.
